हनुमत् स्तवन

सोरठा
प्रनवउँ पवनकुमार खल बन पावक ग्यानघन।
जासु ह्रदय आगार बसहिं राम सर चाप धर॥१॥

अतुलितबलधामं हेमशैलाभदेहं,
दनुजवनकृशानुं ज्ञानिनामग्रगण्यम्
सकलगुणनिधानं वानराणामधीशं,
रघुपतिप्रियभक्तं वातजातं नमामि!!

गोष्पदीकृतवारीशं मशकीकृतराक्षसम्।
रामायणमहामालारत्नं वन्देऽनिलात्मजम्॥४॥

अञ्जनानन्दनं वीरं जानकीशोकनाशनम्।
कपीशमक्षहन्तारं वन्दे लङ्काभयङ्करम्॥५॥

महाव्याकरणाम्भोधिमन्थमानसमन्दरम्।
कवयन्तं रामकीर्त्या हनुमन्तमुपास्महे॥६॥

उल्लङ्घ्य सिन्धोः सलिलं सलीलं यः शोकवह्निं जनकात्मजायाः।
आदाय तेनैव ददाह लङ्कां नमामि तं प्राञ्जलिराञ्जनेयम्॥७॥

मनोजवं मारुततुल्यवेगं जितेन्द्रियं बुद्धिमतां वरिष्ठम्।
वातात्मजं वानरयूथमुख्यं श्रीरामदूतं शरणं प्रपद्ये॥८॥

आञ्जनेयमतिपाटलाननं काञ्चनाद्रिकमनीयविग्रहम्।
पारिजाततरुमूलवासिनं भावयामि पवमाननन्दनम्॥९॥

यत्र-यत्र रघुनाथकीर्तनं तत्र-तत्र कृतमस्तकाञ्जलिम्।
बाष्पवारिपरिपूर्णलोचनं मारुतिं नमत राक्षसान्तकम्॥१०॥

I Bow to the son of the wind who is as destructive to evil as the fire is for the forest, who is a cloud of wisdom
In whose heart, resides Rama, bearing the bow and arrow

2. Atulit Bal Dhaamam, Hem Shailaabh Deham
Danuj Van Krashaanum Gyaaninaam Agraganyam

The center of immeasurable strength, possessing a body shining like a mountain of gold
A fire to consume the forest of the demon race, the foremost among the wisemen

3. Sakal Gun Nidhaanam Vaanaraanaam Dheesham
Raghupati Priy Bhaktam Vaat Jaatam Namaami

House of all virtues, the chief of the monkeys
Rama’s beloved devotee, I salute to the son of the wind

4. Goshpadikrat Vaareesham Masakikrat Rakshasam
Ramayana Mahamala Ratnam Vande Anil Atmajam

Who made the king of sea look like the hoof of a cow, who made the great demons look like mosquitoes
Who is the great jewel in the great garland of the story of Rama, I pray to the son of wind

5. Anjana Nandanam Veeram Janaki Shok Naashanam
Kapeesam Aksha Hantaaram Vande Lanka Bhayankaram

Who is the baby of Anjana, who is brave, who is the destroyer of sorrow of Janaki
Who is the god of monkeys, who is the killer of Aksha, I pray to the terror of Lanka

6. Mahavyakaranaam Bhodhimanthamaan Samandaram
Kavayantam Ramkeertya Hanumantam Upasamahe

I pray to Lord hanuman ,the knower of all Vedas and Grammar having full of virtues who always chant glory of Lord Shri Rama

7. Ullanghasy Sindho Salilam Saleelam Yah Shok Vanhim Janak Aathmajaayaah
Aadaay Te Naiv Dadaah Lankaam Namami Tam Pranjalir Aanjaneyam

Who violated the waters of ocean playfully, who took away the sorrows of the daughter of Janak (Sita)
Who burnt Lanka, I salute to you, O the son of Anjana

8. Manojavam Maarut Tulya Vegam
Jitendriyam Buddhimataam Varishtham
Vaat Aatmajam Vanar Yooth Mukhyam
Sri Ram Dootam Shirasa Namami

Who has won over his mind, who has speed comparable to that of wind
Who has won the control over his sense organs, who is among the seniormost in intellect
Who is the son of wind, who is the chief of the team of monkeys
Who is the emissary of Rama, I bow my head and salute to him

Bhaavyaami Pavamaan Nandanam

Who is the son of Anjani, who is the beheader of demons, who is as goodlooking as a heap of gold
Who lives near the roots of Paarijaat tree, I bow before the son of wind,

10. Yatra-Yatra Raghunath Keertanam
Tatra-Tatra Krat Mastak Aanjalim
Baashp Vaari Paripoorn Lochanam
Marutim Namat Rakshas Aantakam

Wherever the praise of Lord Rama is sung
There he is always present with head bowed in veneration
And with eye full of water (tears)
To the son of wind, I bow, who ended the demons
